Volunteering at the Guild: be part of our team!

We are seeking volunteers at all levels of the Guild, and I’d like to invite everyone to consider volunteering.

In 2016 we launched a new comprehensive online shop and we’re particularly looking for volunteers with online retail knowledge to help us make a success of this project.

And we have a variety of other volunteer roles too - from selling craft to customers in our shop to working with our marketing team on social media.  Or perhaps you’d like to work with our gallery team setting up and taking down exhibitions?

Our aim is to have volunteers involved with all our activities as an integral part of our work so please do give us a call: 01626 832223

Devon Guild of Craftsmen seeks new Board Members

The Devon Guild of Craftsmen is seeking Trustees to complement the skills of our existing and highly valued Board Members.

You would need to be able to make a commitment to the Guild and have strategic vision, independent judgement, an ability to think creatively and a willingness to speak your mind.  Our priority area for recruitment is for a Trustee with an accounting background, to contribute to our Finance Working Group.  However we are also interested to talk to you if you have experience in planning law or capital development, retail development / online selling, or fundraising.

We are able to pay travel expenses and Trustees will be expected to contribute on average one day per month to include Board meetings, an Annual General Meeting, the annual Board and staff planning day and attendance at exhibitions and events.

For an informal chat or more information please contact Erica Steer, Executive Director on 01626 832223 or erica.steer@crafts.org.uk
