Jan is a textile maker who loves knitting with coloured wire. She has worked with this material for over 25 years, mastering hand techniques on her vintage knitting machine.
One of her favourite methods is Bead-Knitting, because it produces a colour-rich texture that's actually part of the structure.
Inspired by the changing patterns in nature and her Somerset garden, Jan produces seasonal creations to uplift people and their homes. She also works to commission.
Jan trained as a knitwear designer in Nottingham and has a Masters degree in Textiles from the Royal College of Art London.
